Confirmation

Last night was Confirmation Nite and for a few of the youths, this was the time! Normally we think of confirmation as being finally able to take communion during church services, eating the bread and wine. It's not just that, confirmation. It's actually a time where you make the vows to commit yourself to Jesus. If you were baptised as a baby, your parents took those vows for you. Confirmation is when you yourself take the vows. And for those who were baptised as a youth or adult, confirmation is a time where you re-affirm those vows.

So last night, we had a few youths confirmed by the Bishop, namely Nathan, Jacqueline, Sylvia, Timothy and Alden. (Hope I didn't miss anyone). Congrats guys, and girls, welcome to the family! Yeah.....
