Member's Blogging - Jenny

This is the 3rd week of our youth alpha and the title is 'WHY DID JESUS DIE?'

Just a little recap for this session:

The Problem:We all have sin. Sin pollutes us and make us unclean. Sin separates us from God.

The Solution:God loved us so much that He took our place and suffered the results of our sins. Jesus' death on the cross took care of the results of sin once and for all. The most incredible thing is that He chose to die for us.

The Results:We can begin to know God and have a relationship with Him. He gives us eternal life.It is so amazing that God loves each of us and longs to be in a relationship with us. If you had been the only person in the world, Jesus would have died for you. If we believe that Jesus suffered on the cross for us, and say sorry for the things we have done wrong, we can know God.

Warmth
We started off with fun and jolly ice-breaker led by our game master, Clement Kwong. This time, instead of playing the o'l time favourite 'Mafia', we played 'Big-Wind Blow' and 'reaching to the end-point' game. (I am not very sure the name of the game.)

Worship
Thereafter, Praise and Worship led by Mark was really awesome.. The youths were really into praising God with all their voices and this really amazed me.

Welcome
It was really glad to see 25 youths there for this Youth Alpha course.

Word
This is the first time I have ever shared the Word and also take one topic from Youth Alpha. Sharing and leading praise & worship or even playing the piano up stage are totally different things. I can play the piano on stage without having stage fright (well, sometimes I still do..), even leading worship I am also comfortable, but when it comes to sharing, I am really terrified and anxious, yet at the same time excited about it. I really hope that the youths enjoy the talk. All in all, I really thank God for His kind guidance. His strength is perfect when our strength is gone.

(Heartsonfire comment: Thanks Jen for holding the fort while I'm away. You're great! Proud of you. )
